Personally, I hope that the scientific research is just for that, peace and not used to go against the Republic. Given... ...Chaput's rhetorics and the idea of a global revolution, we are very weary about SUDS entering into space for aggressive reasons. I've read what happened between Ayane and Chaput and it made me question the motives of SUDS. Behind the mask has a determination to take down non-Socialists nations while the front is all smiles. I personally question the motive on "peace", Emperor Palpatine went down that road after the end of the Clone Wars when he reorganized the Galactic Empire into the First Galactic Empire for in his own words "For a safe and secure society". The peace was a facade when underneath the Empire was filled with suppressing the rule of Palpatine and attempts to restore the Republic that lead to a bloody chapter in galactic history. Despite Chaput's claims of us being 'space imperialists', we actually link our heritage to the founding of the Rebel Alliance.
With statements of a global revolution and Chaput's statements, I still keep my eye on SUDS. Personally, I believe change comes through elected officials and the ballots, not through revolutionary wars like the October Revolution and the French Revolution. Or through hard power coercions like insults and threats.

Nozomi: How come you're not down there. You could have told those two about the Republic's reservations because of the Powergaming Wars with Stylesrj during the dark ages of DYOS. CivGeneral: Nozomi dear, I'm trying my best to keep the independent and DYOS canon separate from this political scandal simulation.
CivGeneral looks at Chaput CivGeneral: I have to agree with superman. Seeing Chaput trolling us makes me feel that Hitler is the nicest guy in the Sol System. Not to mention that Chaput reminds me of those assholes in OffTopic.

“Right” went Miles. “Now to George Chaput on his view on the matter.”
“Well for starters I take honour in having people think I am the centre of power in the S.U.D.S when my job is serving the government as the humble civil servant for the Shadow Directive then to... order people around.” Miles said this while connected the tips of his fingers together. “I also like to point out that change does not come from democratic principles as the likes of Abel Roux and the three people I am debating with may want you to think. It is through social engineering, reserve social engineering, grander changed in social engineering via revolutions (which I for one should point out is not in my area of interest), attempts to crack down on revolution, attempts to crack on engineering, attempts to impose yourselves as these big heroes while doing so in the arrogant of...”
“And how does this have to do with research Mr Chaput?” went Mr Miles with a slight red of anger in his face.
“O..." went Chaput, which he continue with "well I support research... for all purposes... especially those that show these arrogant space travellers to stop waving their pride down our throats! How I will enjoy stealing their secrets... and how I wish they start growing a brain or I will have to teach them about the proper means of...”
“ENOUGH CHAPUT!” went Miles now more angry than ever. “Do you remember that is a debate show, not your little insult based internet forum!”
“O right...” went Chaput. “Then I guess I have nothing else to say on the matter... save for this: my intellect is one of the key reasons why I have my job. A leaky figure leaks secrets but not as much as an idiot.”
“Well... that is... what Chaput thinks this show is about: insults as oppose to debate.” Miles then signalled for more wine for his wine glass. “I will for once in my career have to lay some home rules. One: do not make this a insult contest. At least Rojo was a figure of honesty that in many ways gave charm when she and her rivals agreed on a topic on education. Two: this is for Corcusant: please do not feed Mr Chaput. Especially with the use of your history. It just encourages the spy master. Three: please do not think Mr Chaput represents the people of the S.U.D.S. He is... not an honest man.”
“Which is why I am trusted to hold a important position for the security of the S.U.D.S” responded Mr Chaput.
“Anyway” went Miles. “Back to “So what it your view on the matter?” before some person or persons tried to make “LETS ALL MAKE US ANGRY!” The next issue: Austria. What will be the fate of this nation? What should be the fate of the Austrian Empire? Should there be peace with it? To the Chancellor of Corcusant: what is your view on the matter?

Nozomi: Did Miles just invoke the "Do not feed the troll"? CivGeneral: I don't know and I have no opinion. All I know is Chaput is reminding me the reasons why I lurk in Offtopic. Mariko: I still think Chaput represents SUDS
CivGeneral sharply turns to Mariko CivGeneral: Damn it Mariko, you're not even in this game. Mariko simply shugs as CivGeneral turns back to the stage

Ayane turns to MilesThat's a very good question the answer is that the fate of Christo's Austiran Empire, formally known as istan, should the fate that it's given too since this is a complicated issue. With New Kinichikia and the Downfall Gang wanting a piece of Austria, Russia breathing down it's neck, I don't see how peace is going to be feasible. Especially with a leader like Christos who manages to tick off everyone on the planet. The only fate I foresee is the partition of Austria with pieces going to the European nations.

“I see.” Miles then drank some of the wine given to him to lower his anger at Chaput. “Now to the Professor: so what is your view on the matter?”
“A matter of chaos” went Ozerov. “I am hoping peace is in our time but the peace talks are loaded with those who desire the fall of the opposing side. I predict sadly that there is a possible 52% chance that Austria will get into a conflict with the S.U.D.S. I will not go on for I am a man of science as oppose to war but Mr Chaput despite his... over cynical insults that I would point out are a insult to the revolution... knows a lot about national stability. That is all I have to say on the matter... that and the revolution will be peaceful for it will be fueled... by science.”
“All right” went Miles. Now to Antilles:what is your view on this matter?”

I would have to agree with both Ayane and Ozerov. Given that their leader has managed to rustled most of the world's jimmies. Peace would be unlikely and seem to have set themselves up to fight till the death, or flee in exile in Africa to start up a new nation and the cycle continues. I foresee these paths for Austria:
1. Plea for peace with New Kinichikia, The Downfall Gang, and Coruscant for no conditions
2. Austria pleas for peace and offers up it's RPs to New Kinichikia, The Downfall Gang, and Coruscant. Including any nations that joins the fray between now and when Christos has the sense to surrender
3. Austria pleas for peace and a partition of Austria takes place to make the nation smaller and less threatening.
4. Combination of two and three
5. Austria is wiped from the face of the planet leaving Christos to flee in his second exile into Africa or some territory that's open to start the cycle over.
From my perspective, the ? ? ?istans have basically dug their own grave by managing to ruffle the feathers of other nations the wrong way.

“Well” went Miles. “Now what are Chaput’s observations of Austria?” “War... is very, very possible” said Chaput with his hands together, his smirked smile gleaming his stone white teeth. “The unstable set up of Austria and its rather bizarre ways of demands suggest a great deal of instability. A massive bomb has been created. All is needed is the fuse and boom: a Austrian versus S.U.D.S conflict. It can come from anywhere, any side. It could be accidental fire, a fighter going too far into enemy territory... or some foolish admiral deciding that for honour shake he must commence the first shot. Whatever the case: peace is a myth in these times. Austria’s existence is enough for its eternal survival... in a fictional notion. In reality they will face destruction. The only thing is: who start the fire? Let history judge that.” “Right” went Miles. “Now for a quick break. We are back in one minute!” -The following advert came on the commercial allowed TV stations that were set to selling stuff-
-The commercials end- “Welcome back!” went Miles. “Now since we completed 3 of the 6 questions have been completed... time to switch all around. Ayane, Ozerov, Antilles and Chaput are was, now it is Chaput, Antilles, Ozerov and Ayane in order of talk. Talk we have we the next question for Chaput to begin with. The issue? What do you think of Superman’s position as the ruler of the most powerful power in the world? Begin!” “It is a curse and a blessing” went Chaput. “A curse for smaller states in power of fear of Superman for his... zealous for the good. It is mainly a blessing though: he maintains the peace and is quite able to... influence via alcohol. All I have to say. That and he is kind letting the S.U.D.S have Ireland as a member. Where would we be without Grand Marshal Jack O’Brian’s homeland in the S.U.D.S? That is all I have to say.” “Now” went Miles. “Now for Antilles. What is your view on this super matter?”

All I can say, asides from his questionable attitude, his foreign policies have been a model for what I plan to implement in my own administration. Though I question the position on "most powerful power in the world", geographically we may be smaller than the JLA, but the Republic still wields considerable power, even if most of it is off world.
