In a grand conference hall in the University of Paris... the set for "So what is your view on the matter?" was being placed up. 5 chairs were deployed in the centre view, the middle was humble and wooden compared to the royalty that where the chairs of those in debate. Each chair had a table near it, each one with water... although the centre chair had a small glass of wine in preperation for stress.
The auidence were already gathering, sitting on the many plastic chairs facing the centre 5 chairs. Alison Caro, a boot factory overseer from Florence, was to sit in the front area... not to far from the Premier of the French Commune, Lisa Tolbert, who had decided to watch others argue.
As they gathered so enter Proffessor Ozerov and Mr Chaput. Both went to their chairs and sat down. No word spoken. All waited for first for Ayane and Antillies, then they will wait for the show to begin with the arrival of Miles...

Mother, are you prepared for this debate? Of course I am, I just hope your wife does not pull a pistol on Chaput when he starts calling names.

CivGeneral honey, here's my M1911. I don't want to accidentally pistol whip that asshole who constantly calls us "Space Imperialists"!

I'll be sure to keep it safe. For now, Nozomi and I will be in the audience. Just, don't cause me to loose sleep over this.

Chaput waited carefully. He was thinking deeply in such a way one could read the thoughts:
The plans... the plans. I hope the plans were going well... the space imperials should be here soon. The plans... the plans. How I am to enjoy this event. I will make the insults so... grand. But the plans... plans... God I hope the plans are going to plan!
O goody! Here they come! The space "republicans." I will be ready... now where is Miles? Late for another one of your ego shows perhapes? I am in one of your ego shows now but it will be set to break your ego... just as I plan to break the ego of the international community. O did I think that out loud? Muhahaha!
Hmm... I look forward to the introduction... that is one area Mr Miles will get right.

We're running through the final system checks now. Once M. Miles arrives, we should be good to go.

Just then... entered Miles!
“Hello, hello...” went Miles. “Sorry about that but late preparations take time. Let me just one min...”
Miles sat down on his chair and drank all the wine down.
“Now... let the shows commence!”

On air in three...
Two...
One...
LIVE from the Université de Paris, it's So what is your view on the matter?, with your host, the indefatigable Victor Miles!
"What an honour to be invited to open tonight's show, Klaus!"
"You said it, Wilhelm! I don't know about you, but for a country that's pledged itself to socialism, France sure knows how to make a guest feel welcome!"
"Couldn't agree with you more. I'm pretty sure France's own kings never had it as well as us, and we're only here for a couple of days!"
"But, in the spirit of global revolution, let's set aside our idle babble of bourgeois frivolities. Tonight's show is a four-way debate between Coruscanti bigheads Hanna Antilles and Ayane... er, just, Ayane. Ahem. VERSUS the SUDS' own shadow director George Chaput, and Professor Vladimir Ozerov, chair of science."
"I've heard about Chaput, Klaus. Some people claim he's the power behind the throne, and a chronic troll."
"Indeed. Word of earlier spats between Chaput and Ayane have already leaked onto the Internet. It would seem France is trying to muster a challenger to Fegelein!"
"I wouldn't go that far. Fegelein's made some pretty disparaging remarks regarding Chaput's grasp of anticology."
"Then let's not dwell much longer on him, lest we play into his hands! Wilhelm, brief our viewers on Professor Ozerov. I don't even know who he is!"
"Siberian-born, he's SUDS' leading scientist, best recognized as the chief proponent of their space program."
"A man whose job depends on facts paired off with a man devoted to twisting the truth. Will the whole prove more than the sum of its parts, or will these opposing strategies ignite like a solid-fuel booster?"
"Careful, Klaus! If we pressurize him too far, that ship might explode in our faces!"
"Now, what about the Coruscantis?"
"Hanna Antilles has a long legacy behind her. She was one of the leaders of their original settlement on Earth, and the mother of the empire's most acclaimed warrior, CivGeneral!"
"I've heard of him, but I've never seen him. Is he still alive?"
"Indeed he is. He's been keeping a low profile for years; I think he's trying to escape the cult of personality that's built up around him."
"Doesn't seem fair he's making his wife do all the work, though! Maybe that's why Ayane's so stressed all the time?"
"Could be, Klaus, could be. No doubt you'll recall her impressions of the Führer; it could make for one exciting match tonight!"
"You know, Wilhelm, it seems sometimes Coruscant's run by a dynasty. You think the kids will take over the family business?"
"Funny you should say so! Last I heard, the youngest member, Nozomi, was heading an expedition to some sort of alternate-universe Mobius."
"So, then, how's the stage set tonight?"
"If you've read the leaks, you'll know SUDS, and Chaput especially, refer to the Coruscantis as 'space colonists'. Apparently Coruscant hates any reference to the word 'empire', and has been arguing the merit of that title back and forth for months."
"A question of semantics, and they didn't invite the Bunker?"
"That'll probably have to wait for its own episode!"
"No doubt the over-arching issue tonight will be SUDS' space program and the threat it presents to Coruscant's cosmic hegemony. Is the universe big enough for two, or will the revolution blaze across the stars?"
"As the facts unfurl, we'll be here to relay the data to the viewers at home."
"And now, we cut to the studio and hand the reins to your host for tonight, M. Victor Miles!"

Miles bowed before the audience and then gave out an aerial kiss towards the audience. “Comrades! Welcome to a debate to be between four fine figures, including two figures from space, a scientists and a voice for spies. They will debate on many issues in lines of my questions. The first person who will answer will be Ayane, then Ozerov, then Antilles and finally Chaput.”
The crowds cheered... with some boos aimed at both the Corcusants from the radical members of the audience and at Chaput from the honest members of the audience... which tended to be those same radicals.
“Now, now! We wait before they give their views before you boo and cheer. That way it is more debatable! Now for the first issue: technology. What do Corcusant feel about their technology being copied for the sake of technological development? What do the S.U.D.S feel about their uptake of techology being challanged? First we have Chancellor Ayane to give her view on the matter!”
