Alright. I've narrowed the borders of the sea zones down a bit, but I want them to retain their distinctive thickness so they are not easily missed. (Sea zones are implemented not so much as to impede movement, but to allow players to block off specific areas and coastlines) I've redone the map here. Included are the icons I will be copy/pasting for planes, navies and cities. I will also be adding numbers. This alone will greatly reduce the time necessary to keep track of these objects. There is also a list of 20 possibilities for land and sea colors, all arranged neatly in a grid at the bottom. Please feel free to cast your vote for what combination you like best, or propose alternate combinations.

E3 looks nice, although I would like to see land borders to be sure.

With a little insight as to what owned vs. neutral territory will look like. Seems the Andalucian Khanate and Leon Caliphate aren't on good terms with eachother over who gets Lusitania!

I still think the borders are too strong. Like I said above, try shrinking to 1px, grey provincial/black regional, like MP.

How about dark gray for regional, black for provincial? They blend a bit, but the stronger color for provinces makes the provinces seem to spill into eachother, rather than being rigidly separated, as would be the case if the region borders were darker.

Except then the regions spill into each other, which I'd argue is worse. Something you can do if you really want a challenge is use different colours, as in, not just shades of grey; I still think it should be stronger for region, softer for provincial.
And for previews, do them at natural zoom because that's what people are going to be looking at.

So, I just want to clear up my confusion. We claim entire states under peace, but war is done with provinces a la Victoria II?

Okay, tried AGAIN. This time with black regions and gray provinces. So, I just want to clear up my confusion. We claim entire states under peace, but war is done with provinces a la Victoria II? Armies claim one province whether at peace or at war.
