"Thank your Mr al-Majid... " went Victor Mile. "I will now ask you Mr Prime Minister; what is Japan's opinion of Vietnam? What is your response to Mr al-Majid?"

Japan, as the leading power in East Asia, believes that it is it's duty to secure peace and stability in East Asia. Vietnam is an East Asian nation. So, Japan has the duty to restore stability and peace in Vietnam. The Vietnamese, like all the other East Asian peoples, are our brothers and we should help them. It is our moral duty to do so. We must not allow neo-colonialist powers set up protectorates, like the French did in the 19th and 20th century in Indo-China. Japan shall protect the sovereignty and independence of the East Asian nations. We share the same culture and we are brothers, so we should help each other.
As for the accusations of UAR for Japanese imperialism, Japan replies that UAR are the real imperialists. With the pretext of a UN mission, they try to reestablish colonial rule in Vietnam and exploit the country and it's resources. They want to enslave the Vietnamese people and establish a puppet state. Japan, instead, wants to guide Vietnam. This is the reason why while the so called peacekeeping and good UNVIFOR has not established a Vietnamese government and occupies Vietnamese territory with the pretext of paramilitary organizations, while Japan has helped the Vietnamese people establish a democratic government that is independent and sovereign, with an elected Prime Minister, Mr. Nguan Gong Thang.
Japan does not accept the superiority of the UN in peacekeeping missions and will never respect UNVIFOR, because it is a weapon of UAR used for imperialist conquest. So, Japan shall never allow the free Vietnamese territory to fall under imperialist hands.

Is it brotherly behaviour to bomb the Vietnamese back into the stone age?

You know what they say Fegelein, Napalm sticks to kids...the only major nation that did not sign the charter that bans such weapons.
Vietnam is not in East Asia, rather in South East Asia also known as Indo-China. The distance between Ho Chi Minh city and Tokyo is almost akin to the distance between Salisbury and Cairo. The difference between Japanese and Vietnamese culture is equal if not greater to the difference of Malay and Arab culture, thus your defense on basis of culture is completely wrong.
The UN is an international organization that has humanitarianism as the main goal. If you think the UAR controls the UN and wishes to create a puppet state as opposed to Japan which is one nation and has already nurtured the unlawful Empire of Vietnam, you are clearly deluded.

"Ok, I see..." went Victor Miles. "Erm... hopefully without interruption from the audience and that being the last time I have been unable to moderate the turns... what's your reaction Mr Prime Minister?"

*snork*
Oh, pardon me, I zoned out for a moment. It can be hard to concentrate when one is drunk on opium. Did you know opium consumption is Japan's national pastime? Marx once said: "Religion is the opiate of the people." Well, in our glorious Empire of Japan, opium is the people's religion!
But I, Ruchang Takeshi, Prime Minister of Japan, digress. To respond to my colleague, Mr. al-Majid, I should first begin by clarifying that yes, there is a marginal degree of difference between the Japanese and Vietnamese, and it is precisely this difference that implores us to act. For, you see, whereas Japan is a civilized people, the Vietnamese race has, regrettably, degenerated into its previous state of barbarism. To state it simply, they are no longer capable, at the mental level, of self-government. That is why they fight amongst each other, and that is why, like the wise elder brother, Japan must step in to correct Vietnam's deviant behaviour. What would the UN do? Let these children run their own country according to their own desires? There is a reason the Japanese voting age is 31: if a person lacks the mental faculty of reason that allows him to make the correct judgments in his day-to-day interactions, imagine what havoc would be wrought when this same savage nature is writ large! An "independent" Vietnam is impossible, and will remain impossible for a hundred years or more.

"I... err... see" went Victor Miles. "I think we need Mr al-Majid's response... to... that...."
