Priorities: - Expand your influence
- Strengthen your capital and acquired territories.
DonTheDime's Global Conquest Rules: - Territory Income - Your nation's income is based on 1) how many territories you possess and 2)how long you have held each territory.
- Nation Building - As you expand your empire, the people living in the territories you conquer will expect you to invest your nation's resources to improve their economies and provide for their defense. This is done by increasing each territory's strength to acceptable levels. If this is not done, you risk losing the support of the people in that territory, who may defect to other nations or instigate anarchy and rebellion within your nation. Also be aware that the longer you control a territory, the higher the expectations will be for support from the capital. You will be warned if one of your territories threatens defection, where you can choose to increase that territory's strength to the desired level, or station an army in that territory to temporarily maintain control.
- Governments - You begin the game without a formal government, and as such, you will not be able to negotiate with other nations until you establish a government for your new nation. Starting in the Classical Age, you will be given a choice as to what kind of government to establish. Choose well and listen to the demands of your people, or they may think differently of your leadership! Each change in government will cost tribute, so be prepared. Your choice of government on the strategic map will be reflected in every scenario that you play. Be careful about letting your nation slip into anarchy, as you may soon find yourself without a nation if you let it persist!
- Extra Armies - You will notice there are NO supply depots on the map. You gain additional armies based upon the number of territories you possess. Your second army will be available once you possess 10 territories. A third army is available once you possess 25 territories. Additional armies will become available for every 25 additional territories.
NOTE: You will lose those additional armies if your territory ownership falls below the required number. - Zoom Control - To zoom in or out from the strategic map, scroll the mouse wheel.
(Skipped the rules that weren't implemented.)
