March 12, 2150, outside of Gates of Orion No one knows how or why. All we know, however, it happened. Somewhere in the border between Earth and Venus, a portal of unknown origin opened three months ago. Dubbed "Gates of Orion", large debris of what appears to be industrial scrap poured out of it almost immediately. This discovery was led to be revolutionary; a new civilization must exist on the other side. A civilization clearly advanced enough to create wormholes at will, to add. However, this is leading to the unfortunate conclusion that our solar system is being used as a garbage dump. In order to establish diplomatic relationship and to stop the trash dumping, a diplomatic fleet had been hastily assembled to meet the unknown. Leading this expedition is recently finished Battlestar Moscow, the pride of the new experimental class. The size of New Zealand, the massive ship stands in the front of a fleet today going into the unknown horizons. Into the Gates of Orion --- Welcome one and all to the Omega campaign of Final Frontier. Players will be assuming as a member of the fleet about to go into the unknown portal into uncharted territory. What is on the other side of this portal, well, is the mystery of this game. So, if you feel adventurous, bold, and want to discover new lands for humanity, this is the campaign for you. The chat is above, at the title, for your convenience. I'll call missions here and on the general AC chat. Don't bother looking for me on the game chat if there isn't a mission going on soon; I probably won't be there. Ship List: SFN Ku'uaki (Kaimana Lae`ula) SFN Starlight (Frederick Gerani) SFN Vistula (Julianna Janowski) SFN Silver Maiden (Christina Shuford) SFN Saltpeter (Beauregard Massimo)

Results of Mission 1:
Disaster. Ruin. Words commonly describing the diplomatic mission to Sector Orion that happened March 12, 2150. To be specific, what happened is that a 100-ship fleet led by Battlestar Moscow went into the Gates of Orion, seeking to meet a hypothetical highly advanced alien civilization to conduct diplomacy. However, even when the fleet first exited the portal, everyone knew something was wrong.
The unknown planet was massive; a terrestrial planet bigger than Jupiter. The whole planet was covered in a massive, giant city, but the scariest thing of them all was the massive fleet parked right outside the planet. The smallest ship in the fleet was the size of the sole battlestar in the SFN fleet, or the size of New Zealand. The average size of the ships were about the size of China or Russia, with the biggest being the size of Earth.
When the commander of Battlestar Moscow, Frenchwoman Yvette Pettigrew, tried hailing the unknown aliens, she was greeted with a regal-looking 15 foot tall avian alien with two heads. After a botched-up, scared attempt of peaceful exchange from Pettigrew, the alien screamed at the captian. This was a literal brown note to humans, with many captains and crew members noticing their uniforms becoming wet and covered with brown stains.
After the failure of communication, the alien ships lined up into ranks depending on size. The smallest ships fired a volley of lasers directly at Moscow. After a second of blindness, the Moscow simply vanished. Almost as if never existed. It just vanished. All hell broke lose afterwards. Chaos erupted as ships started fleeing for their lives. However, the actions of Gerani and his ship, the SFN Starlight, started bringing back an organized retreat back to the portal. Meanwhile, a second volley, while inaccurate, blasted away many ships to the point that only 50% of the original ships were left. However, the SFN Vistula somehow managed to have her shields reflect a laser back towards the enemy, obliterating a ship. This was the only kill in the battle.
As the surviving ships headed back to the Gates of Orion, the Earth-sized ship launched its fighters to give chase. Said fighters were, however, the size of SFN cruisers. As they started to close in and destroy the retreating ships, the SFN Silver Maiden, delayed to a refueling, appeared. It, along with the Starlight, managed to distract the fighters from effecting most casualties. However, a third volley severely crippled the Silver Maiden and destroyed many other ships. By the end of the retreat, only about 10 ships from the original 100 were still alive.
As the last surviving ships regrouped, a single fighter enemy fighter entered into Sol space before promptly shutting down. The SFN Albion was hellbent on going back to Earth, but the rest of the fleet stayed behind to investigate this ship. However, before anything was done, the ship shot a pink light into the portal, temporarily shutting it down. Then, the fighter self-destructed. The mission then ended with a call for the rest of the survivors to meet up with Albion on Earth.
Known Survivors: SFN Starlight, SFN Vistula, SFN Silver Maiden, SFN Albion (Frigate), 6 other ships
Known Casualties: Battlestar Moscow, SFN Bonaparte (Cruiser), many others
