LIVE from Schloss Babelsberg in beautiful Potsdam, it's a special edition of So what is your view on the matter?, with your host, the incomparable Victor Miles!
"What a day for an interview, Klaus, I mean what a day!"
"You said it, Wilhelm! It looks like all of Brandenburg has turned out to the evening's feature spectacle, and frankly, it's hard to blame them. Victor Miles, the internationally-renowned television host, is here for a special one-on-one interview with none other than the Master of Antics himself, Hermann Fegelein!"
"Believe it or not, Klaus, some people said France and Germany could never find common ground amongst their ideological differences."
"Well common ground they seem to have found, and it's called Schloss Babelsberg, the current residence of the Socialist Union of Democratic States' diplomatic entourage commonly known as the Taunting Knights."
"Speaking of whom, they're entering the grounds now, followed by Susan Rojo, the loud-spoken Premier of Aragon, looking none too happy with that muzzle!"
"I understand it was requested by Heinrich Himmler as conditional to the interview."
"But it's not Himmler's interview, Klaus! It's Fegelein's, and while I'm sure Heinrich wants only the best for his star protégé, he's proven time and time again that nobody out-trolls him."
"Quite right, Wilhelm. In fact, I do believe Martin Bormann referred to Himmler as a 'pompous clown'."
"I'm not sure about a clown, but he sure looks like a nerd. They say glasses make a girl sexy, but do specs make Himmler sexy?"
"Hold on there, Wilhelm! This is the late show, not the late late show!"
"Someone who's never late is Victor Miles, our host for this evening, and I have just received word he has purchased a soda in the reception hall. What is your view on the matter, Klaus?"
"Evidently he's coming off a high note from his earlier interview with the Lord Raiju."
"I didn't catch that one, I was busy making a sandwich."
"Funny you should say so, Wilhelm, because that little chat was a juicy cutlet of revelation packed between two slices of exposition."
"You didn't catch it either?"
"No, I didn't!"
"Someone who I'm sure won't be missing tonight is the Führer himself!"
"Indeed he won't, Klaus. Even though he refused point-blank to attend tonight's show in person, sources from the Führerbunker confirm he is currently seated in front of a television set tuned to our program. Otto Günsche is standing by to inform us of all pertinent developments on his end."
"And I'm sure Grawitz is standing by with the aspirin! Wilhelm, how long do you think it'll take for Fegelein to embarrass the Führer on national television this time?"
"Oh, I can't give a definite estimate. It really depends on how Fegelein's feeling tonight. Still, I'm sure there'll be a rant in Berlin by tomorrow morning at the latest."
"Speaking of rants, I bet whoever's still got his eye on becoming despot of ?istan is feeling pretty riled right now. Wilhelm, is it true Fegelein was appointed commander of the peacemaking force?"
"That's correct, Klaus, and by none other than the Führer himself!"
"Well I must say, that campaign is off to a promising start if the Obergruppenführer has time for this interview!"
"Fegelein's one-of-a-kind, that's for certain."
"What's your favourite antic, Wilhelm?"
"Oh, I'm not sure if I can pick. He's built up an impressive repertoire over the years; I don't think I've seen them all."
"Well then do I have good news! FEGELEIN! The Best Of box set is hitting the shelves later this month! If you can't find a favourite in there, I'll eat my hat!"
"Not if Göring eats it first!"
"And here he comes now, the co-star of tonight, Hermann Fegelein!"
"Looking as nonchalant as ever! Klaus, this show hasn't even started yet, and I'm already itching!"
"I know exactly what you mean. The stage is set for what I'm sure will be an evening to remember."
"And we'll be here all through the night, dutifully providing this milestone meeting of the minds to the viewers at home."
"We're cutting in to the studio now. Take it away, Miles!"
