Tell you what: I'll give you a pass on the medals if you follow through on my original proposal.

Other then IOT IX, what is your favourite IOT? Please offer me your top 5 if possible.
Also: what do you think of E.V.I.L from Rearmed?

Also: what do you think of E.V.I.L from Rearmed? Hoo boy. Where to start? First of all, terrorists typically issue an ultimatum after they've secured a hostage. They may think they're badass with these sorts of boasts, but now Greece is wise to their plan, so they can expect tougher security. I prefer a challenge myself, but not against stupid odds. And what's their evil plot? Robert Cambridge shooting The Virgin and Child with St Anne and St John the Baptist turned heads. Mr. Bean accidentally erasing Whistler Mother's's face and substituting a poster was a stroke of idiotic genius. But pouring syrup on a painting? Really? Are these guys terrorists, or frat boys? Don't get me wrong, I've pulled similar stunts for a cheap thrill, but not as the head of a cabal aspiring to Bond-level infamy. All they need is Sean Connery in a bear suit and the circus will be complete.

Other then IOT IX, what is your favourite IOT? Please offer me your top 5 if possible. Also: what do you think of E.V.I.L from Rearmed? IOT9's the first one I've actually played, so I'm not sure if my opinion counts, but here's a top five anyway (in no particular order): IOT4 - I think someone mentioned in the Hall of Fame thread that this is when the game received an actual structure. It wasn't much, but combat at least had some logic, and even though Thorvald suffered it was well-received by the players and one of the first to garner a direct sequel, so that probably counts for something. IOT3 - There really hasn't been anything like it before or since. Almost the entire game was tabletalk, and borders were handled on a bona-fide basis. I think even more than IOT4 and its sequel, this was a game played through story more than dice rolls. Also: Benevolent Superpower Carthage IOT7 - Second dedicated attempt at the old school; narrowly beats out IOT6 on account of superior roleplay. A lot of entertaining countries, with special props to Estonia, Sarajevo, and the Latino Nation for its weird-yet-fitting generic-ness. IOT9 - OK, maybe not the greatest game, especially the way Tani was so obviously helping christos, but for all its rhetoric, France brought a hell of a personality to the table. The Justice League was also crazy fun; it's a damn shame Ravus seems to have dropped out. Also led us to join this forum, so a winner by default. Iron and Blood - I haven't played it (too complex for my taste), I haven't even read the thread, but all the cool kids praise it so I figure I'm contractually obliged to plug it. I'm ashamed to admit that Fegelein has a point about E.V.I.L. They revel in villainous smugness and have the stereotypes down pat, but they haven't done anything especially noteworthy. That, and their public statements have the air of one of those kids who's really enthusiastic about _x and thinks he's boss, and you're sitting on the sidelines as a veteran and just feel embarrassed for his sake as he makes an ass of himself.

FUCK MP!! I can literally pinpoint the moment that game screwed itself over. christos got three lives too many and if Tani hadn't NPCwanked he would've received a proper ass-handing.
The only thing worse than a bad game is a good game that cannibalizes itself.
